The Lord has promised He will guide
My steps along the way;
His eye will watch, His love provide
Throughout each hour, each day.
The Lord has promised He will stay
Beside me all the way.
I know that I can boldly say
“He hears me when I pray.’
The Lord has promised He’s prepared
A home for me above,
Where not an effort has been spared
To show to me His love.
The Lord has promised, I believe.
I trust His gracious hand
From which I know I will receive
The blessings He has planned.
