You Gave Me Strength

You Gave Me Strength

I cried to You in time of need,
You heard my earnest prayer –
From heaven’s height sent grace to help
And proved Your tender care.

You gave me strength when I was weak
Just like You said You would;
I couldn’t do what lay ahead,
But then I found You could.

So here I raise a song of thanks
And lift my heart in praise:
The Lord has done great things for me
And I will trust His ways.

Too Good to Be True?

Too Good to Be True?

Too good to be true
Were people the pledge
Of such an amazing salvation,
But God is the One
The Scriptures allege
Who offers such wondrous redemption.

There’s nothing too hard
That God cannot do –
There’s nothing to do but believe it;
He cannot tell lies,
His promise is true –
There’s nothing to do but receive it.

The Hour We Went Astray

The Hour We Went Astray

The day we sinned against Him
And broke God’s law and heart,
He made a lasting promise
To save us from the start.

His love is so abundant,
His grace so deep and wide,
He promised us a Savior
The day we fell and died.

As God pronounced sin’s curses
He spoke a blessing too
Which shows His loving purpose
To rescue me and you.

All We Need

All We Need

When Pharoah’s heart was hardened
Against the Lord’s command,
He made the labor harder
Of those who built his land.
He told the weary Hebrews
That they must gather straw;
“Go find your own,” he told them
And made his hatred law.

Unlike the wicked Pharoah,
God gives His children tasks
And then provides materials
For anything He asks.

Praise From the Heart

Praise From the Heart

Lord, from the fullness of a heart
That’s seen Your love anew
I lift a song of joyful praise
For all I’ve seen You do

Lord, from the fullness of a heart
That overflows today
With all the goodness of Your care
That keeps me in the way

Lord, from the fullness of a heart
That knows Your mighty Name
With all the glory of Your grace
This child of Yours can claim

You Came for Me

You Came for Me

Lord Jesus, in your mercy
You came to earth for me;
You left your perfect splendor
With all your majesty.

You took a human body,
Felt hunger, cold, and pain,
Were hated and rejected,
And felt temptation’s strain.

Yet all the time you bore it
Without the least complaint –
No sinful thoughts or motives
Broke through your self restraint.
