Perhaps you prayed a sinner’s prayer
You didn’t understand;
You said some words you didn’t mean
And shook a preacher’s hand.
But nothing changed within your soul
That day so long ago;
You wonder if you’re really saved
And long to truly know.
Then thoughts arise of those around
Who think you know the Lord;
You wonder what the cost would be
To claim the great reward.
Don’t wait, my friend, the Savior died
To offer life to you,
And if you’ll come, He’ll save your soul
And make your spirit new.
In humble faith repent and call
On Jesus’ Name today;
He’ll take you now, redeem your life,
And wash your sins away.
You’ll find the peace of knowing Christ,
The joy of being free,
The sweet assurance you belong
For all eternity.

Beautiful!
That’s awesome! I love “but nothing changed within your soul, that day so long ago, wondering if your truly saved, and long to truly know” wow! Nail hits the hammer, pick up the hammer and drive in the nail! I can do relate to this poem. My favorite one so far.
You might consider a short biography, if you ever feel like it. I’m very curious to know how you came to such talent and such a close understanding and relationship to Christ. Also gives poems a little more intimacy. As in “into me you see”. Just a thought.
God bless you! And thank you!
