Like Snow
As snow like sparkling crystals falls
And paints the world in white,
So Jesus washes sins away
And makes the heart shine bright.
But rain and footprints, dirt and cars
Destroy the lovely scene
Like sin that sneaks back in and mars
A life so newly clean.
Then snow again falls flake by flake
And covers all around
Until it gleams in purest white
Where not a mark is found.
So Christ again in matchless love
Takes hearts stained dark with sin
And with His own life’s blood forgives
Till there’s no spot within.
