Come Quickly
Come Quickly
Lord, haste the day when Christ will come
To call us all away
In robes of glory pure and white
To realms of endless day.
Return again, Your people wait
Expectant as You said
In service and in watchful prayer
With hope of what’s ahead.
Your gospel news is on the wind,
Your Word is spread abroad,
We’ve gone and called the world to come
To worship You our God.
How long, O Lord, will You delay?
Come quickly from above –
Complete Your righteous victory
And reign in truth and love.

“He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” Revelation 22:20

God Knows and Does What’s Best
God Knows and Does What’s Best
I know the Lord knows everything –
There’s nothing He can’t see;
He sees right now with all the past
And all eternity.
I know the Lord is good and kind –
His love for me is true;
He gave His Son to die for me
And gives me heaven, too.
So, if my God knows everything
And truly wants my best,
Why would I doubt His perfect plan
Or put Him to the test?
Why would I think that I could plan
Or choose a better way
When I don’t know the things He sees
About the coming day?
Lord, I confess I often fail
To seek Your will for me;
I sometimes worry or complain
And doubt what I can’t see.
Forgive me, Lord, and help me turn
In everything to You,
And give me faith to trust Your love
Will once again come through.

Your Compass Rose
Your Compass Rose
Let Scripture be your compass rose
With Jesus your true north;
Keep pressing on through wind and rain
For God has called you forth.
By day and night it leads you right
In everything you face,
Inspired and true, unchanging, too,
A source of strength and grace.
No turning back, no veering off
The path that God has made;
Your compass rose will lead you home –
Be bold and unafraid.

You Came for Me
You Came for Me
Lord Jesus, in your mercy
You came to earth for me;
You left your perfect splendor
With all your majesty.
You took a human body,
Felt hunger, cold, and pain,
Were hated and rejected,
And felt temptation’s strain.
Yet all the time you bore it
Without the least complaint –
No sinful thoughts or motives
Broke through your self restraint.
Your words were true and gracious,
Your actions good and right,
You always served the Father –
A bright and shining light.
Though pure you took my burden
Of sinful guilt and shame –
Condemned to die though perfect
While sinners mocked your Name.
You gave Your life to save me
And shed Your blood for me;
Though I deserved the treatment,
You took it willingly.
Then, when your work was finished,
You bowed your head and died;
They sealed the tomb and guarded
Your body crucified.
The story wasn’t over –
That Sunday you arose
Triumphant in your conquest
That crushed our darkest foes.
The strength of sin was broken,
Death died in infamy,
The devil was defeated,
My guilty heart set free.
You wore my sin and sorrow
So I could wear your crown,
Your righteousness now clothes me
And nothing weighs me down.
What boundless grace and mercy
Would send you all this way
And set your love upon me
To wash my sins away?
I know I can’t explain it,
No songs can tell the whole,
But how I love and praise you
With all my heart and soul!

For Blessings So Abundant
For Blessings So Abundant
For grace that’s all sufficient
For mercy ever new
For love that’s everlasting
I lift my heart to You
For truth that never changes
For peace that reigns within
For guidance from Your Spirit
For pardon for my sin
For blessings so abundant
For sleep and daily bread
For promises enduring
For paths where I’ve been led
For giving me Your favor
For making me a place
For Jesus and salvation
For purpose in life’s race
For lasting joy and gladness
For all of this and more
For loving me, dear Father,
I praise You evermore

Strength Sufficient
Strength Sufficient
You’ve promised strength through Jesus Christ
To do the work You give
Sufficient for the task at hand
However long I live.
And when I’m weak I often ask
That You would make me strong
Expecting that I’ll feel prepared
For all that comes along.
But then, perhaps, I’d soon forget
Your strength is holding me;
My foolish heart would turn away
And sink within life’s sea.
So in Your grace You sometimes choose
To only let me feel
The strength I need for one more step
To keep me near and real.
It’s always there – the strength that raised
My Savior from the dead;
Each moment’s need is fully met
Just as Your Word has said.
So when I feel I can’t go on
And wonder if You’ve heard,
I’ll know Your strength will see me through
And trust Your faithful Word.

“And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13

I Love You, Lord
I Love You, Lord
Lord Jesus, You have loved me
As no one else could do –
You came and died to save me
And make me one with You.
You daily guide and help me,
You strengthen me with grace,
You send such loving blessings
That show Your smiling face.
Now I can’t help but love You
My Savior, Friend, and King;
I bring my heart’s devotion
And lift my voice to sing.
I’ll walk with You each moment
And live in such a way
The world can see Your glory
In all I do and say.
For You’re my dearest Treasure,
The One that I adore;
Until the day I see You
I’ll love You more and more.

“We love Him, because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

Cleanse My Heart
Cleanse My Heart
Lord, purge the temple of my heart
From all that You despise,
From idols, greed, and selfish pride
That grieve your holy eyes.
As once you purged the temple courts
To cleanse Your house of prayer,
Please cleanse my heart so only You
Will be exalted there.
Cast out the sins I love, I pray,
The sins I do not see,
The sins I cannot seem to shake –
Come do Your work in me.
Drive out whatever takes Your place,
What isn’t pure and true;
Remove distractions and reveal
The things that sadden You.
Then fill my heart with love and peace
With righteousness and light,
And by Your Spirit’s work within
Make Scripture my delight.
Lord, in this temple of my heart
I’ll worship You alone
For You have died to set me free –
My heart will be Your throne.
Christina Joy Hommes
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Morning
Morning
The sun begins its daily sweep
Across the sky above
Revealing in its constancy
The nature of Your love
The birds awake and start to fill
The morning with Your praise
Revealing in their happy notes
The kindness of Your ways
The little creatures start their tasks
With busy, eager feet
Revealing in their lack of care
That trusting You is sweet
The morning comes with mercies new
To greet the brand new day
Revealing in its breaking dawn
You’re here with us today

Come See the Empty Tomb
Come See the Empty Tomb
Come, see the empty tomb and hope
For death has been defeated,
The chains of sin are broken through,
And pardon is completed.
Come, see the empty tomb and trust
In Christ alone to save you,
Believe and call upon His Name
To claim the gift He gave you.
Come, see the empty tomb and live
For resurrection power
Will work in you and make you new
To walk with Him each hour.
Come, see the empty tomb and go
To tell of God’s salvation;
The work is done, the triumph won –
Tell every tribe and nation.
Come, see the empty tomb and sing
To Jesus our Redeemer,
With loving thanks now worship Him
Our glorious King and Savior.
