For Blessings So Abundant

For Blessings So Abundant

For Blessings So Abundant

For grace that’s all sufficient
For mercy ever new
For love that’s everlasting
I lift my heart to You

For truth that never changes
For peace that reigns within
For guidance from Your Spirit
For pardon for my sin

For blessings so abundant
For sleep and daily bread
For promises enduring
For paths where I’ve been led

For giving me Your favor
For making me a place
For Jesus and salvation
For purpose in life’s race

For lasting joy and gladness
For all of this and more
For loving me, dear Father,
I praise You evermore

Strength Sufficient

Strength Sufficient

Strength Sufficient

You’ve promised strength through Jesus Christ
To do the work You give
Sufficient for the task at hand
However long I live.

And when I’m weak I often ask
That You would make me strong
Expecting that I’ll feel prepared
For all that comes along.

But then, perhaps, I’d soon forget
Your strength is holding me;
My foolish heart would turn away
And sink within life’s sea.

So in Your grace You sometimes choose
To only let me feel
The strength I need for one more step
To keep me near and real.

It’s always there – the strength that raised
My Savior from the dead;
Each moment’s need is fully met
Just as Your Word has said.

So when I feel I can’t go on
And wonder if You’ve heard,
I’ll know Your strength will see me through
And trust Your faithful Word.

“And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13

I Love You, Lord

I Love You, Lord

I Love You, Lord

Lord Jesus, You have loved me
As no one else could do –
You came and died to save me
And make me one with You.

You daily guide and help me,
You strengthen me with grace,
You send such loving blessings
That show Your smiling face.

Now I can’t help but love You
My Savior, Friend, and King;
I bring my heart’s devotion
And lift my voice to sing.

I’ll walk with You each moment
And live in such a way
The world can see Your glory
In all I do and say.

For You’re my dearest Treasure,
The One that I adore;
Until the day I see You
I’ll love You more and more.

“We love Him, because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

Cleanse My Heart

Cleanse My Heart

Cleanse My Heart

Lord, purge the temple of my heart
From all that You despise,
From idols, greed, and selfish pride
That grieve your holy eyes.

As once you purged the temple courts
To cleanse Your house of prayer,
Please cleanse my heart so only You
Will be exalted there.

Cast out the sins I love, I pray,
The sins I do not see,
The sins I cannot seem to shake –
Come do Your work in me.

Drive out whatever takes Your place,
What isn’t pure and true;
Remove distractions and reveal
The things that sadden You.

Then fill my heart with love and peace
With righteousness and light,
And by Your Spirit’s work within
Make Scripture my delight.

Lord, in this temple of my heart
I’ll worship You alone
For You have died to set me free –
My heart will be Your throne.

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Morning

Morning

Morning

The sun begins its daily sweep
Across the sky above
Revealing in its constancy
The nature of Your love

The birds awake and start to fill
The morning with Your praise
Revealing in their happy notes
The kindness of Your ways

The little creatures start their tasks
With busy, eager feet
Revealing in their lack of care
That trusting You is sweet

The morning comes with mercies new
To greet the brand new day
Revealing in its breaking dawn
You’re here with us today

Come See the Empty Tomb

Come See the Empty Tomb

Come See the Empty Tomb

Come, see the empty tomb and hope
For death has been defeated,
The chains of sin are broken through,
And pardon is completed.

Come, see the empty tomb and trust
In Christ alone to save you,
Believe and call upon His Name
To claim the gift He gave you.

Come, see the empty tomb and live
For resurrection power
Will work in you and make you new
To walk with Him each hour.

Come, see the empty tomb and go
To tell of God’s salvation;
The work is done, the triumph won –
Tell every tribe and nation.

Come, see the empty tomb and sing
To Jesus our Redeemer,
With loving thanks now worship Him
Our glorious King and Savior.

Wonder of Wonders

Wonder of Wonders

Wonder of Wonders

Wonder of wonders our God becomes man,
So humble and lowly fulfilling God’s plan.
Despising the glory and leaving His place,
He comes to redeem us in marvelous grace.

Wonder of wonders He comes here to earth,
The son of a virgin, a peasant by birth.
He comes in a stable, a manger His bed,
By those He created is nurtured and fed.

Wonder of wonders the world turns away –
No place for the Savior to come or to stay.
But angels tell shepherds who hurry to see,
And wisemen bring presents and come bend the knee.

Wonder of wonders He learns and He grows;
Immortal now mortal, our weakness He knows.
Though tempted like others, He lives without sin;
Still perfectly righteous and holy within.

Wonder of wonders the King is the Lamb,
Our perfect atonement the mighty I Am.
Our sin on His shoulders He carries and cries,
“It’s finished!” Our Maker and Sacrifice dies.

Wonder of wonders He rises again –
The grave cannot hold Him and death cannot win.
It’s shackles are broken by Jesus the Lord
Who offers salvation that all can afford.

Wonder of wonders the God-man still wears
The form of a servant with scars that He bears;
Ascending to heaven He sits on His throne
Still worthy of worship to save and atone.

Wonder of wonders the Savior appears
In splendor and glory to honor and cheers.
Now crowned and triumphant He’s coming again
Exalted forever and ever. Amen.

He Bore It All

He Bore It All

He Bore It All

My Savior bore that cup of wrath
Poured out on Him alone,
With none to share the awful load
That no one else had known.

He bore God’s wrath against my sin
With all of my disgrace,
And died the death that I had earned
As justice purchased grace.

He bore the pain when, for my sake,
The Father turned away;
The separation I deserved
Was laid on Him that day.

He bore the cross, the crown of thorns,
The nails, the scorn, the shame
To please the Father and to give
An enemy His Name.

He bore it all, and now He stands
Exalted over all;
Soon every tongue will call Him Lord
As at His feet we fall.

My Heart Your Throne

My Heart Your Throne

My Heart Your Throne

Lord, make my heart a holy place
Devoted all to You,
And by Your Spirit’s strength and grace
My love and zeal renew.

Please help me think like You, I pray,
And make Your precepts clear;
Oh, help me walk with You each day
In humble love and fear.

Reveal Your ways and help me see
The wonders of Your hand;
Exalt Your Word and humble me
To seek and understand.

Lord, I will worship You alone
And praise Your worthy Name,
Please make my heart Your sacred throne
And set my love aflame.

Building on the Bedrock

Building on the Bedrock

Building on the Bedrock

I’m building on the bedrock
That’s sure and will not shift;
I’m anchored in securely
To what will never drift.
God’s Word is my foundation
That cannot pass away;
The Rock of my salvation
Is changeless day by day.

Though all the highest mountains
May crumble in the sea,
And though the mighty oceans
May rise and threaten me,
My soul is safe, protected
By One who cannot fail,
And all the hosts of darkness
Will nevermore prevail.

So though the world around me
May change or fall apart,
My life will stand securely –
God knows my name by heart.
My life is built on Jesus,
His Spirit’s strength I know,
And though life’s storms are raging
He’ll never let me go.
