Row by Row
Row by Row
The Weaver’s shuttle passes through
The warp of life each day
With crafted threads of varied hue –
Of crimson, gold, or gray.
At first they’re loose and somewhat raw,
We process – laugh or grieve –
The swirl of things we felt and saw
And wonder at the weave.
Until the batten sets the weft
And joins it to the whole –
As time moves on, the past is left
To guide but not control.
Thus seasons run – at first they seem
So jumbled and unclear,
Then, as they join time’s steady stream
Their beauties all appear.
So when today seems oh, so swift,
Or pain feels oh, so slow,
The Weaver knows the pattern’s drift
And builds it row by row.

That God Would Die for Me
That God Would Die for Me
That God Himself would die for me –
Oh, what a contemplation –
To save my soul from hell and death
And righteous condemnation.
The mighty God, eternal, good,
Unending, changeless, holy,
Came down to earth, became a man,
So humble, meek, and lowly.
The Lord of all paid taxes here,
He hungered, slept, was tempted,
He faced the worse to pass each test
We’d failingly attempted.
The mighty King was then condemned
For sins He’d not committed,
Yet for our sake He suffered on
And full disgrace permitted.
Amazing love! What grace divine!
My God became my Savior!
My life, my love, my praise, my all
Are His alone forever.

Send Revival
Send Revival
Lord, send a great revival
To sweep our land once more,
A movement of Your Spirit
That reaches shore to shore.
Awaken those in darkness
And open blinded eyes;
Send out Your gospel power
And in Your strength arise.
Stir up Your church, O Savior,
To truly seek Your face
Forsaking sin and living
Transformed by holy grace.
I long to see revival,
Dear Father, start with me,
And help me live for Jesus –
A life by love set free.

Faith, Hope, Love
Faith, Hope, Love
Faith thinks on what the Lord has done:
It goes to Calvary,
It sees God’s love through Christ His Son
And all through history.
Hope thinks of what the Lord will do:
It sees eternity,
It holds each promise made as true
And lives for what will be.
While love responds to both each day:
It worships fervently,
It serves with joy and keeps God’s way
In bold humility.
Our faith will one day turn to sight,
Hope to reality,
But love will last in heaven’s light
For all eternity.

“For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” 1 Corinthians 13:12-13
God Made That Promise to Me
God Made That Promise to Me
My life is secure in the palm of His hand
For God made that promise to me
There’s good and reward in the path He has planned
For God made that promise to me
Salvation is mine by the grace of my King
For God made that promise to me
And nothing can change it or alter a thing
For God made that promise to me
He’s with me each moment and will not depart
For God made that promise to me
His Spirit is dwelling within my new heart
For God made that promise to me
He’s made me a home in His palace above
For God made that promise to me
I’m kept by the strength of His infinite love
For God made that promise to me
And someday He’s coming to catch me away
For God made that promise to me
Where pain is forgotten and sin has no sway
For God made that promise to me
He’ll richly reward me for all that I’ve done
For God made that promise to me
Repaying each sorrow and tear one by one
For God made that promise to me
I’m anchored by hope in a God who can’t lie
For God made that promise to me
I’m sheltered securely, my needs He’ll supply
For God made that promise to me
I don’t need to worry or fear what’s ahead
For God made that promise to me
I know that I’m safe – I can trust what He’s said
For God made each promise to me

No Plus Ones for Heaven
No Plus Ones for Heaven
There’s no plus ones for heaven –
Each entry stands alone
And those who wish to enter
Must each secure their own.
No matter how I’d like to
Ensure you have a place,
You must apply directly
To have a share of grace.
But God’s so rich in mercy
That all who come receive,
And all who ask are given
His gift when they believe.
So friend, I now invite you
To come above with me
For Jesus gives salvation
That’s lasting, sure, and free.
And if you’re bound for glory,
Then won’t you go invite
Some other souls to join you?
Let’s fill His house of light.

Because God Never Changes
Because God Never Changes
Because God never changes
I never have to fear
That what I’ve done to please Him
Won’t count when He is near.
I know that my salvation
Will always be secure
Because the One who promised
Will evermore endure.
I know just what to study
To find what He likes best,
And know the Bible tells me
How I can pass each test.
Because God never changes
I have such peace of mind
For I can trust His mercy
And know He’s always kind.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8
For I am the LORD, I change not. Malachi 3:6
Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His Name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. Hebrews 6:10
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the Word of our God shall stand for ever. Isaiah 40:8
Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jeremiah 31:3
Help Me Live for You
Help Me Live for You
Lord, help me crucify the flesh
And let it have no space
To turn my soul away from you
Or block the path of grace.
Remove the pleasures sin affords
That lure from all that’s right,
And change the things that I desire
To seek Your pure delight.
Awake in me a holy thirst
For righteousness and good,
Please help me love the things You love
And do as Jesus would.
Where I’ve left room for fleshly lusts
And worldly things that fade,
Reveal my sin and help me turn
From where my soul has strayed.
Convict and cleanse, renew and bless,
Lord, help me live for You –
Sold out for Christ with no reserves
In love that’s pure and true.
Christina Joy Hommes
And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. Galatians 5:24
Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Hebrews 11:25
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. Romans 13:14
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24
Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. Ephesians 6:24
His Rightful Praise
His Rightful Praise
There’s no one like the Lord
In patience, love, and might,
In holiness and grace,
In truth and glorious light.
All things belong to Him
Because He made them all –
He holds it all in place
And guides them great and small.
Though angels all rejoiced
And every person sang,
Though birds and oceans joined
And all the heavens rang,
We still could never tell
The greatness of our God
Or rightly praise His worth
And spread His fame abroad.
All glory, blessing, strength,
All honor, love, and praise,
All majesty belongs
To God the King of days.
Eternal and unchanged,
The God of truth and light,
Our worship, thanks, and awe
Are His by sovereign right.
Christina Joy Hommes
Thank You for Your Love
Thank You for Your Love
My God, I come in humble awe
And thank You for Your love
So vast, so deep, so wonderful
It lifts my heart above.
That God Himself would come to earth
Rejected, tested, poor,
Then take my sin with all its shame
To open heaven’s door.
That Jesus Christ would bear my guilt
And wear it on the tree –
Unjustly lifted up to die
To show His love for me.
That on the cross as darkness fell
And heaven turned away,
He gave Himself to pay my debt
To wash my sins away.
That three days on He broke the chains
That bound me to the grave –
He rose again to live and reign,
To pardon, rescue, save.
That when I was an enemy
He set His love on me
And sent His Spirit in my heart
To make these blind eyes see.
That when I came with nothing good
To offer at His throne,
He welcomed me with matchless grace
To take me as His own.
That though I sin and often fall
He loves me just the same
And lets me have a special part
To magnify His Name.
That when I’m weak and feeling low,
He proves His love indeed
With comfort, strength, and tender care
To meet my every need.
That in a world so marred by sin
He sends such pure delight
With blessings, gifts, provisions, too,
To bring me joy and light.
That someday soon He’ll take me home
To realms of endless love
Where He’s prepared a perfect place
To dwell with me above.
That endless years will never dull
The perfect joy we’ll share,
The oneness of eternal love
To which He’s made me heir.
Oh, what a love I see displayed
In all Your gracious ways!
Lord, help me love You more, I pray,
And lift eternal praise.
