Autumn
The yard is lined with golden leaves,
The grass wears crimson jewels,
The trees are grand displays that show
The Lord in kindness rules.
The air is crisp and rides a breeze,
The garden starts to sleep,
While creatures scamper here and there
For winter food to keep.
The sky is blue and grey by turns,
The sun is not as hot,
The birds fly south before the snow
To find a cozy spot.
The autumn glows with radiant hues
That lead us to applaud
The mighty One who planned it all –
Our Maker and our God
