“If we could but see things that will be, we should be ashamed of our
thoughts of things that are.” – Matthew Henry
Sometimes it is hard to remember to live with an eternal perspective. So often the things that seem important here will mean nothing to us in eternity.
Just as in earthly friendships so with Christ, the more time we spend with Him, the more we will learn to look at things like He does. When we think like Christ we will gain His eternal perspective and our thoughts of things that are will begin to change.
“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared
for them that love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9
