A Different Motto

This life is just a shadow
Of what my life will be
In resurrected glory
Beyond the crystal sea

Where many have a motto
That fails them by and by
(Eat, drink, and let’s be merry
For soon we all will die)

I have an expectation
That soon I’ll truly live
And so I’m always seeking
The prize my Lord will give

Let’s love and serve and worship
For at tomorrow’s dawn
We’ll wake to life eternal
That stretches on and on
