A Christian’s Joy

Where does a Christian find true joy
For every passing day
Whatever may be going on
Along life’s narrow way?

Our joy is found in knowing Christ
And that He loves us so,
It’s found in blessings that He sends
Along our path below.

Our joy is found in being free,
Forgiven, and made new;
It’s found in everlasting life
Which God has said is true.

Our joy is found in God’s own Word
And promises He’s made,
In comfort that the Spirit gives
When we have stopped and prayed.

Our joy is found in praising One
Who died to show His love,
In telling others what He’s done
And how to get above.

Our joy is found in Jesus Christ
And in His presence near;
It’s found in knowing all is well
And He will soon appear.

Whatever may be going on
Our joy we can renew,
Because a Christian’s joy is found
In what is always true.
