In 1972, as a new 18 year old BYU coed, I learned a lesson which impacted me for the rest of my life. Joining thousands of students on that huge campus after the cocooned safety of a small Arizona high school was, for me, a somewhat overwhelming step, leading to much change. New Life

Letting Go

After going through a painful experience, have you noticed how we often bring the memory of the experience back and relive it–sometimes over and over again? Feeling the familiar raw ache or horrible sting wash over us time and again seems to bring a sort of warped satisfaction. In reality, there is nothing positive or useful about revisiting pain and hurt over and over again. We mistakenly think there in comfort in the familiarity of this pain. Read more →
